About Us

Strand Continental Engineering Works, one of the oldest workshop of its kind in Strand, was established in 1969 by Daniel van Driessche, after moving to South Africa from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

In 2010, when Daniel was ready to retire, Izak Swanepoel purchased the company and moved into rolling, cutting and bending of sheet metal and pipe, as well as customized manufacturing.

Soon afterwards, Izak's sons, Johan and Charles became involved and expanded the work field to include stainless steel and aluminium welding.
